Why body butter?

Body butter is thicker than lotion and contains less water. This means that body butter takes longer to penetrate your skin (don’t immediately put on clothes or walk on a floor barefoot after applying body butter!). Body butter is also more moisturizing than lotion and softens even those tougher, very dry spots like the knees, elbows, and feet. By whipping body butter, you get the best of both worlds since it is soft and easy to apply but still extra moisturizing.

Is the body butter safe for babies too?

Of course! We only use high quality, all natural products that are safe for baby as well.

Is there a body butter that works best for eczema?

YES! Shea butter is a savior for people struggling with eczema. Our signature body butter is based in shea butter, so it will work magic in helping address your eczema concerns. Shea butter contains cetyl esters, which are lock in moisture within the skin barrier, making your skin become stronger and more resilient to eczema.

Where are your raw ingredients sourced from?

Our butters are responsibly sourced from a woman-owned coop in Ghana, Africa. The butters are sourced from fair local trading efforts, and the nuts are harvested by hand. Our oils are also handmade (pressed) and responsibly sourced. The oils are pure, unrefined, and cold-pressed, and also fresh and bottled daily. Our raw ingredients and products are also cruelty-free!

How long will my body butter last?

Body butters last about 12 months. We do not use preservatives in our products, so the key to making it last is to never use dirty or wet hands inside of the product! For maximum shelf life, be sure to store the products in a cool, dark space (i.e. bathroom cabinet).

When will my product come?

You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order is received. Please allow 1-3 business days for processing after your order is placed. Once your order is fulfilled and in transit, we will send you a Shipment Confirmation and tracking information. Be sure to track your shipment and bring it inside as quickly as possible during the summer months so that it doesn't begin to melt!


My shipment sat outside in the heat for a while and my product melted. What should I do?!

This does not affect the efficacy of the product. Natural butters and oils retain their benefits in liquid or solid form. Your butter can be easily transformed back to a solid form by stirring the product then quickly refrigerating it!

 

My lip balm became gritty; what do I do?!

Plant based skincare is beneficial to skin, but require care to maintain the texture and appearance of the product. Sometimes, lip balm made with butters can become grainy. This is because lip balm is often carried with us and left in a car, purse or pocket and can be exposed to extreme temperatures. But don’t fear - the effective ingredients in your lip balm are still potent. The graininess will melt upon application. But next time - try to avoid high levels of heat!

 

My body glow is starting to separate. What should I do?!

Don’t worry! We do not use chemicals or preservatives, so separation will occur — it’s only NATURAL! Just give it a few shakes and your product will be brought back to life. Store your product in a dark room away from direct light and heat to prolong its shelf life.

Do you test on animals?

Absolutely not! All of our products are cruelty-free.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We do not have the ability to change, cancel, or modify orders.
